Know what I heard from Dr. Berman on TV? May be TMI adult content

Just passing along her advice for young busy moms......Keep things alive between you and your husband. It models to your children what a happy relationship is and benefits them immeasurably.

If things are very hectic and you are too tired for sex........she advised scheduling a sex night, not just a date night. And leading up to that you should take 15 minutes, three days per week, to talk to each other about anything OTHER than the kids. During that 15 minutes you should kiss a couple of times/ sex.

Wish she was around when I was a frazzled young mom. Best wishes to all you young, busy, moms.

  • This is very good advice. I, too, wish some of these helpful people had been around when we were raising our family.

  • I haven't had a 15 minute conversation with an adult in who knows how long. Maybe I should try one.

  • This is good advice. This and if possible a few hours out on their own.

  • I agree 100%. You have to keep that connection you had before kids because the kids will grow up and leave the nest. You don't want to wake up to each other and no longer have anything in common once the kids are grown. I'm a better parent anyway when I've had time with DH :)
