  • How about the fleshy part inside the lower lid? Does that look red like raw meat? Or does it look more normal like yours? That's also a good indicator of pinkeye. Is it possible she has an eyelash on her eye and has been scratching it to get it out? (figuring she would have said she has something in her eye though). I guess it's possible it could be pink eye, but it could be other things as well. A sinus infection can make your eyes red (or even just one eye, especially if she sleeps on that side).

  • Alergies probably. But ask a doctor.

  • It doesn't sound like pink eye, but it could be some mild infection of some sort. Keep her from touching her eye just in case. Does it itch or hurt?

  • One eye sounds like it is going to be pink eye soon, you can get a homeopathic eye drop at the drug store, someone told me on here about it once, it worked great, and if it isn't pink eye will at least make the eye feel better. I am sorry I can't recall the name,it was in a black and white package in the eye care section.

  • My doc said it was possible. Hope you get it sorted out. Icky, itchy eyes for ANY reason are horrible!

  • I had pink eye for the first time a few weeks ago. My eye itched HORRIBLY and I woke up and looked at it in the mirror and the red tissue inside was swollen and my eyeball itself was swollen and red. I went to the doctor and yep it was pink eye. I never had any goo or crusties.

  • Yes. Not all forms of conjunctivitis are contagious. Until you know for sure, follow pink eye protocol. Wash hands often.
