my 4 1/2 year old can add single digit numbers. He does this by counting on his fingers. Is this a bad habit for him to start?

  • Most kids learn how to add and subtract by using their fingers. As he advances in school, he will learn how to do it in his head.

  • Very bad habit it is only going to lead to hardcore algebra...stop it before it gets worse!!

    This is exactly how my son started and how most kids do.
