  • Did you ask her why? IMO. Their is no such thing as refusing to go to school.

  • Why are you asking us? We don't know you or your family.

  • I used to teach Dance and Gymnastics.
She may just need a break or a different outlet. If a young child does not want to do one thing ( extra- curricular) then switch and try something else. Too many kids are "forced" to stay in something they truly stopped enjoying. Maybe Tae Kwon Do or other community activities would be better for her right now. She can always get back to dancing. You put this in kids 5-8. There is plenty of time and it is better to explore other avenues.
It doesn't really matter what changed her mind or why she doesn't want to go. What matters is that you support her / help her and, respect her wishes /not demand she goes. School is not negotiable but activities are. Talk to her and ask what is going on...
    Good Luck.

  • Maybe there is too much pressure Maybe it is boring. Have you asked her?
She has to go to school. That you will just have to dig in your heads and do the battle.
