Do you HAVE to be spotting blood to be in real labor?

  • I Don't think I bled with starting contractions, but after my water broke is when it started. My OB told me that bleeding was a sign that your cervix was changing. She said that when the cervix receded it sort of sheds a layer so you will get the bleeding when you are dilating. But not everyone will bleed.

  • no i didnt spot with my daughter but some women do spot and that is supposed to be a sign of labor
