  • My mother in law put eucalyptus limbs all thru her house. Under benches, chairs, vases full of them. It repels fleas. She has foster cats and nobody has a flea in her home.

  • Got some Borax, sprinkle it on all your carpeting, work it into the fibers with a stiff broom, let sit for 20 minutes and vacuum up. Toss out the bag immediately afterwards. Use a spray under all couches/lay-z-boys and beds (any "shadow space") and that SHOULD get rid of the fleas.

    It worked in my apartment.

  • Fleas do not want to feed on you, animals are much tastier, so unless you or someone in your family is allergic to them don't worry about it. What preventative have you used on them besides the spray? You want something that will start working quickly Frontline, Revolution, Advantage, ect. Was the spray for the cats or for the bedding? Do you have carpets? Wash the cats bedding, and your sheets if they sleep with you. Over the next few days as the medicine starts to work fleas will start dropping off onto carpet and bedding, vacuum daily and keep these areas extra clean. Do not waste your time with flea bathes, they do not work as well, and it's usually no fun trying to bathe a cat.

  • Baby powder can also be used for minor infestations. The powder gets into the flea's respiratory system and kills them.
