Cleaning mold from the cracks in my windows?

It's rather pretty- nice and bright green... Should I just weed it like my garden then spray with bleach?

  • Bleach works for everything. Just apply it directly.....

  • Green? It sounds more like moss than mold to me. Is it on the outside? If it is, after weeding and bleaching the area, you need to investigate to see if the wood of the window is rotting.

  • Don't do straight bleach, the mold/moss/mildew/whatever will come back. Straight bleach just makes the spores close up. You want 20% bleach 80% water mix.

This is from one of my husband's brothers that's in building construction.

  • Boiling extra strength vinegar will work on it.

  • You are right- it might be moss. Like I said- it's rather pretty. Our windows are built in boxes for plants and such- I will investigate further.
