What the hell should I walk down the aisle to if we don't have "a song"?

I'm clueless. I've told my fiance I'd like him to pick something that he thinks fits - since it's the song I'll be walking towards him to... but I don't think he's got a clue either. Any suggestions?

We're not very "typical" when it comes to our taste in music either, and I think that's making this harder!

  • Love me forever - Motorhead

Course you could always decide to go completely in the other direction:

    I do, I do, I do, I do - Abba
Isn't she lovely - Stevie Wonder

  • Actually you usually walk down the aisle to the Wedding March, or something a little soft for stepping slowly down the aisle.

"Your Song" if you have one is generally used for your first dance as man and wife.

I think these days you can pick whatever the two of you like that would set the tone for your wedding. I would think about whether your wedding is formal, casual, indoors, outdoors, has any kind of theme....maybe the season, and look for something that makes it special for both of you.

  • I always kidded that if I got married again, I'd walk down the aisle to The Imperial Death March or whatever that Darth Vader song is called... Lol. But I actually used a song our best man wrote and sang. It was beautiful

  • You walk down the aisle to the Wedding March.
You dance your first dance (at the reception) to "your song".
Scroll thru some lyrics online and see if there's something that strikes a chord with you (pun intended)!

  • Are you marrying in a church or somewhere else? What is your style of music?

  • I suggest you talk to whom ever is handling the music. Tell him or her what kinds of music you like and what you would like to convey. More than likely they will have a list of songs for you to choose from.
