  • At 9-12?

Awe- that's so sweet that you and ____ like spending time together. Let's set up some ground rules okay? First off, phone calls need to be limited to 30 minutes and you have to be done with homework and not during family times. You can go out of mini dates as long as there is an adult I know going with you. He is welcome to come to the house but your room is off limits.

If we are talking closer to 12 then I would review our talks we would have already had about self respect and respecting others feelings and bodies. I would also make sure she knows she can come to me with any questions.

  • I would tell her how great it is that she has a friend who is a boy but that that does not constitute as having a 'boyfriend'. ::grin::

  • okay all kidding aside, I would say pretty much what Doc did, that's awesome you have a close friend that's a boy. Id ask about him and move on not to make a huge deal out of the"boyfriend" title

  • At age 9-12? I would tell her she is an idiot. Eating lunch with a boy doesn't mean he is your boyfriend. If your parents have to bring you places it is not a date.
