Is there a way to save dried out play doh?

Or is it gone gone gone?

(We do make our own too)

  • You can try adding a little water and kneading it in, but if it's really dried out, it may not work. It might just be gone.

  • If it's a single clump, break it up a little. Put half as much water as you think it does (it always needs a lot less water than you think it does) into the container, close it, shake it to distribute the water around, and check it in 24 hours to see if it needs more water.

  • You can also try putting the playdough in a sealed container with a piece of apple or a slice of bread, the way you would with brown sugar. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't, depending on how dried out the playdough is.
