  • LOL, whenever I see "dinning room" I picture a family who has lots of loud arguments around the dinner table.

  • Does your house have a warm, cozy feel? Or a cool, breezy, summery feel? That makes all the difference.

  • It's your house. You have to live in it. There is no need to solicit others opinions.

  • You have to decided light or dark
    But also, cool or warm
Whether it is light, dark or medium

Go on some decorations sites, or design books from library
Page through, bookmark ones that you gravitate to
After a couple books look back and see what style you always flagged
Might get ideas for accessories too while you page through

You could take pic of your room, and put on here, then people might be able to suggest colors
    But really a personal choice

  • It depends on the size of the room.

  • What will work better with your furnishings? Most people make the mistake of painting the room then purchasing the furniture. This is backwards. Since upholstered pieces are more expensive you would choose paint colors that work with it. Also, painting is not redecorating. It is the foundation for your decorating.
