What do you do when you need to be somewhere at such time but can't?

My ds12 has very early practice my dh & I work even earlier.
What to do?

  • Talk to the coach & see if any parents live in your area that would be willing to give your son a ride.

  • The kid drops the activity or you work out a system where someone picks them up

  • Drop him off in the morning with a classmate on the same team. Offer to pay the parents gas to take them. Like $20 a week or so. Most Schools also have before & after school care for a fee but it is very pricey. You can drop the child off at school very early with that.

  • Then something has to be adjusted. Either you find an alternate wy for your son or one of you alters their schedule. Or son needs to drop out of the sport.

  • Tell your boss you absolutely cannot be there at that time. You must be home to drive your son. My husband used to take a car service often for work. We got to know the driver. He took my son to baseball one season when it was really early. We paid $20 each time.
