  • What kind of soda?

My main concerns with soda during pregnancy are:
    - caffeine,
    - sugar,
    - artificial sweetener.

  • Didn't your doc discuss nutrition at some point? If you're that worried stop drinking it.

  • Stop drinking the soda, please. Caffeine is not good for baby's brain development, and we do not know what long-term effects artificial sweeteners have on anyone's brains. Surely, for the sake of your baby's long-term health and development, you can go through your last trimester without soda.

  • You should be drinking water and lots of it.

  • Well stop. I cut out all artificial everything while pregnant.

  • You say alot, is it one 8 oz glass or the huge 7-11 big gulp? I would say one small won't hurt you, but there are much better choices to drink than soda, milk, juice and water.

  • I'm a big coke drinker. I got the small (10 oz?) cans and limited myself to one/day. My dr said it was okay, no more caffeine than a cup of coffee which most people agree is okay.

  • I stopped drinking soda when I was pregnant, and I used to drink a 2 litre bottle every day. It's just a few months, you can do this.

I wish I'd never allowed myself to drink it again, but I did, and I'm trying to quit now. A baby is a great incentive.

  • Asking at 30 weeks is a little late, don't ya think?
    No point in changing now!
