COWS

COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

  • Wouldn't have anything to do with the tracking number tagged in the cow's ear or anything...

  • Well, it makes it easier when you can tag a cow; it's usually in a cattle farmers and consumers' best interest to tag and keep records of where our beef has been. You can't exactly brand someone, and it makes it much harder that they can come over the border undetected sometimes. Cows can't do that. I honestly don't know why you'd compare the two. I don't really like the idea of the gov't keep that close track of me.

  • Our government of the rich, for the rich, by the rich has no intention of getting rid of illegal aliens because they can work these people to death (literally) pay them crap, and give them no benefits. It's a win win situation as far as they are concerned.

  • "Our government of the rich, for the rich, by the rich has no intention of getting rid of illegal aliens because they can work these people to death (literally) pay them crap, and give them no benefits""
That is not true musicmaker. They are protected by the 14th amendment. Undocumented immigrants have the right to freedom of speech and religion, the right to be treated fairly, the right to privacy, and the other fundamental rights U.S. citizens enjoy.

    "and give them no benefits."
Again, not true. They do have access to limited health coverage, such as medicaid. And now they may have access to the Obamacare if the senate passes their version of the immigration bill. And that would legalize illegal immigrants and expand legal immigration by granting them with the green card.

  • There are plenty of reasons illegal immigration will never be a thing of the past, and not all of it has to do with our law makers. They are only half of the problem. Not to mention just leaving the borders essentially open with no means to verify who is coming over our borders and what they want to do here, our government is definitely negligent in their oath to protect our borders and nation.

  • Actually it does have to do with the tags or the tattoo in the ear.
On th other hand we have satellites and drones that can pick out individuals all over the globe.
Someone was mentioning mandatory IDs (we do not have them here) Makes you wonder.
