    Proper etiquette states,

Which Should Be Served First Soup or Salad?

    Answer:
According to proper etiquette and culinary dictation, soup should be served first with a meal. Anytime there is soup and salad being offered with a meal, soup is generally served first. Soup should be served warm, but not overly hot.

  • If I get them at the same time. I will eat both at the same time. Don't want my soup to get cold.

  • Olive Garden serves salad first and then soup for their Soup, Salad & Breadsticks. I know I am not going to let the salad just sit there until the soup comes.
