  • Always try, but some babies just don't burp after every feeding.

  • I use the playtex drop ins and both of mine rarely burped. its very common. Try a couple different positions and if she doesnt burp, let it be. There is no rule that says they have to burp after each feeding.

  • My girl never burps when I try and 'burp' her, not since she was born. She usually burps during feedings and while playing with her. What I do with my baby is just keep her upright for 15 minutes after feeding so that if there are any burps they don't get trapped under the milk/formula in her tummy. Also, and this is just my experience, it keeps her from throwing up or having belly pains if I don't lay her down for 15 minutes after feeding.

  • My daughter hardly ever burped. Which sucked because she had bad gas from this problem. But she lived, and My son breastfeeds and still takes in a lot of air, I just hold him upright under the armpits facing me, and he sometimes burps and sometimes not. If I can't get him to, I give him to my husband. lol. He burps better for him.

  • Yeah as long as you try and give her a chance to than it's fine. A lot of babies burp on their own.
