Anyone ever experience...after a c-section?

I had a c-section over 8 years ago and I have noticed in the past several months that my incision has been peeling and itching, more peeling than itching. It is weird because it is just across my incision. Has anyone ever experienced this? Do you have suggestions on what may be causing it or how to make it stop?

  • Well I am glad it is not just me, but it is annoying and I want it to stop. It sounds like it might not though!

  • I know this is weird, but someone recommended putting something like Desitin on it. It works!!

  • Oh good, I'm not strange then! Sometimes it drives me crazy. I've tried Vaseline without much luck.

  • (Forgive me for what I'm about to say) Is it in a fold of skin? If it is you could well have a yeast infection. Try powder treatment for it.

  • It's been 22 years since and so far I haven't had that experience. [knock, knock]

  • My incision (from 5 years ago) gets itchy on occasion - never has peeled though! Try moisturizing it.
