What are your favorite Thanksgiving recipes?

We are always looking to try something different to keep things from getting boring...yet still feel slightly traditional.

One year we ordered a Popeye's Cajun Turkey. (It was expensive, yet delicious.)

We've also tried turkey recipes:

Citrus glaze

the above mentioned Cajun

Then we've tried stuffing recipes:

w/wild rice and water chestnuts

w/chestnuts (not water chestnuts)

Hubby hates cranberry jelly...I love it right out of the can!

He likes squash w/s&p and butter. I prefer sweet potatoes with marshmallows.

He likes his mom's made from scratch pumpkin pie (followed recipe on the can of pumpkin puree) then I upped it a notch by adding real maple syrup to it.

Always willing to try something new. Thank you for your inspirations!

  • My Mom used to make string beans with crushed tomatoes on top. I don't know why but that was always my favorite side she made at Thanksgiving.
