When did you notice your first gray hair?

Was it noticeably gray to you? I am looking at my hair and can't tell if it's just some super blonde strands or if it's already turning gray. So, was it obvious to you?

Yikes!

  • I think I was 27 or 28, however, it wasn't gray it was white! I too thought it was just a blonde hair since I have a dirty blonde/light brown hair naturally. I am 31 now and I am noticing my white hair a lot now. The other day I just plucked 10 white eyebrow hairs. I also died my hair about 2 weeks ago but I still noticed them on the top and as I began inspecting it closer, I found more and they are every where now! I will embrace it one day, just not yet.

  • I think I was 26 when I saw the first white one. Since my hair is light brown it stuck out. It was NOT a stray blonde hair.

  • 17. 10 years later there are several noticable ones popping up on the top of my head. Very annoying. I would relate most of them to stress but my genetics don't help either. I'll take gray hairs over balding though so....

  • And yes they're noticable because my roots are naturally dark brown.

  • I was about 40, but I do lighten my hair, so the white is hard to notice, it could have been earlier. I still don't notice very many, could be denial.

  • I'm 32 and haven't found one yet (knocking on wood). My husband is 33 and super gray at his temples. He's been going gray for about 5 years now.
