When your guy's been in the kitchen ...

Do you have trouble finding things the next time you go to cook?

My boyfriend made a Betty Crocker chocolate pie to take for Thanksgiving along with the green bean casserole, which was very nice of him, and for which I expressed appreciation. So I'm not complaining. But I noticed when I went to use the kitchen next that it took me for-freaking-ever to cook because I couldn't find anything!

Where's the salt shaker?

Okay, what did he do with the beaters to the mixer, and--eeeww! He put it away like that? It's covered in goo!

What in the world happened to the can opener?

I know I had baking soda in this house. Oh well, I'll have to use the box I bought to put in the fridge for odors. Now let's see, what Glad container can I store it in ... no, that one hasn't got a lid.

Does this happen at your house?

  • Omg, yes. He decided to unload the dishwasher last week and I am still trying to figure out where he put the bowls at.

  • Yes. We have differing opinions on how to organize the kitchen, and he will change things around on me with no warning. Annoys me about as much as when stores do it.

  • When my husband cooks, I usually do the cleanup. If he does it, he leaves things for me to put away.

  • mine just tends to make a huge mess. After working in resaurants with people cleaning up after him, he isn't big on the cleaning up of the mess he creates.
He can cook, but I'm kinda glad he only does it once in awhile! haha

  • Nope, my husband does most of the cooking in our house anyway, so everything is where HE wants it.
