  • She can do it by herself. I do not think it has anything to do with being ashamed.

  • Yes she can, but she never wants to go alone when she has to pee. I think she might be embarrased but im not sure why. i just didnt know f it was common at this age. shes my first, so im still learning lol

  • They will do all kinds of (odd to us) things as they grow and explore. They don't have the vocabulary to explain. One nephew was adamant that we back off when he went potty. It turned out his older by one year brother was with him and flushed while he was still going and it scared him.
Some kids develop a fear of the bathtub drain and will not stay in the tub when you open the drain. Somehow they have gotten the idea that it will suck them down too.
My granddaughter was and is to a certain extent this way. We watch the water go down with her bath toys. We didn't start with the because she would throw a fit. We started wit grandmas "toys" and worked our way up to if she is standing she is ok.
    Kids are a trip.

  • Someone might have innocently said, "Eeeww. Poop is yucky." Who knows? Kids pick up messages like that anywhere, and decide that things are unsavory or embarrassing as they get older. They don't know, for example, till society tells them, that seeing someone in his or her underwear is funny or something to be ashamed of or to get giggly over.

  • Kids are quirky little things. They can come up with some of the funniest comments and actions. Maybe she overheard something on TV that put this in her mind. Today TV shows have few boundaries. Who knows. But its probably not something to worry about too much.
