Has your child inhaled a helium balloon?

Has ur child ever inhaled a helium balloon?
On the way home from her dads, my DD bit into a balloon and inhaled the helium and started giggling really crazy. Should I be worried? She seems perfectly fine now.

  • The gas isn't going to hurt her. She probably got a head rush, and felt funny. BUT... children can swallow latex balloons and choke and die. Unless she's old enough to know better, I wouldn't advise on letting her play with latex balloons

  • Helium is not dangerous in any amount...balloons on the other hand are.

  • Who has not inhaled some helium to sound funny? She should be fine.

  • No worries, but I would be banning the balloons though. Let daddy know those things are very dangerous. I lost most of my eyesight in my right eye thanks to a balloon exploding in it when I was about 10.
