What to wear to a play?

It's been years since I've been to any stage show... and the only ones I have been to were "Broadway Across Canada" so, a little bit fancier I guess. A coworker just got me tickets to a show that my company printed the programs for - it's an Alfred Hitchcock radio play sort of thing. It's being put on by probably the biggest local production company thing... so it's not exactly a hole-in-the-wall type of situation, but I'm still not sure what to wear.

Thoughts?

  • It's not like the Fox Theater, correct? I'd just wear something nice, like black slacks and a sweater...

  • Anything semi-formal. Think of something you might wear to church.
