Can I pick up vicodin at the pharmacy for my fiance?

He just had surgery this morning and was under anesthesia. Can I pick it up for him?

  • We require you prove patients DOB. if picking up, plus signature. If dropping off a prescription for CII we require I.D.

  • Should be able to. Make it clear that you're the spouse. Might want to call ahead and ask so you don't waste a trip.

  • Wow- you poor thing. First you get puked on by the baby, now you're taking care of a loopy fiance'. Hope he's not out of it for too long. You need a break. Like a girls' nite out! :)

  • Pretty obvious I wasn't trying to steal anyone's script.

Requiring an ID to pick up a narcotic is law in some states whether it's obvious or not....

  • Call the pharmacy. You are not his wife. They might not. Ask them.

  • I filled the prescription with him 20 minutes ago but I needed to take him home so he could lay down. He's asleep now.
