  • Do you mean a late start at school? Or a delay after school? You're not at all clear here; what precisely is the problem?

  • It means if school usually starts at 8, it will start two hours later at ten. So if you have to be at work, you'll need to make arrangements to get your kids to school

  • Say your kids begin school at 8:15, a 2 hour delay would mean school would not open until 10:15.

  • Is this your first day in a state where there is snow?

  • Sometimes the school library or gym will be open even on late start days. Ours is.

  • It means the school day will start 2 hours later due to inclement weather. Usually that means the weather is unsafe to drive in.
