I was married to who??

I just found out my ex husband got fired from his job for sexual harassment. Will this go on his record? And if it does will they ever link him to me? I don't want anything to do with such a thing! I won't get judged for that will I, say if I try to get some high end job that will do a background check? Just don't want it to ruin my reputation in the professional world. Could it? Thanks

  • Dependong on if there was anything filed in court against him, it could. On the other hand if the wife (you) or other relatives did not participate then why would there be any taint on them? They committed no offense.

  • I doubt that this would cause you any problems unless there were criminal charges or news coverage involved.

  • Given that he's your ex, theoretically you have cut all ties with him. I wouldn't worry too much about this.

  • do not think so
not like you have him as a friend on fb

i had my car insurance drop me because my soon to be ex (not living together, getting divorce but took forever) he got a drunk driving, so since i was still legally married to him, they dropped me, did not matter we lived in separate states for long time

high end job, might look deep, but you two divorced at the time, so i would think not

  • Was he your husband or ex when it happened?

  • It will not show on your criminal record, but if someone is doing a search on you they will likely find out he is your ex husband and if they want to dig further will find that he has a criminal record. Insurance and what not could drop you if you are still legally married too. It will only go on his criminal record if there were legal charges filed which may or may not be the case with sexual harrassment at work.
