Face blindness

Trying to find the right questions to ask my son. He doesn't remember names and sometimes insists someone is a different person, like teachers at school. Trying to Google it and the info is all over the place. Does anyone know good places to start reading that look at autism spectrum or genetic cause instead of injury?

  • Have you had his eyes checked? Talk to his doctor and eye doctor to see if problems or where to turn to for questions.

  • He already wears glasses for nearsightedness. This isn't literal blindness, it's not recognizing faces.

  • It's called Prosopagnasia. Or facial blindness.
