  • I baked some pineapple bread and threw it in the freezer for wherever it's needed. I'll probably bake some old-fashioned applesauce bars with raisins and maybe some Mexican wedding cookies with my daughter because they're easy recipes that we can do together. I used to bake a lot more, but I don't have the ambition or the time to really go crazy with it now. My boyfriend used to do English toffee and peanut brittle, but those take a ton of time and care, so they'll probably not get done this year. He's done an awesome job with our daughter on a gingerbread house, patiently teaching her to do all the little decorating details. I wasn't sure how that would go. I'm proud of them both.
