Have you shopped at Target?

During 11/27 - 12/15?  They had a security breach. My DD had one unauthorized purchase on her card.

  • TY for posting this, we had 14 charges all for less than $5 per transaction, I asked my husband if he was using it at Starbucks, now have to call the bank.

  • My account is fine. I check it online all the time, something everyone should regularly do.

  • I wonder if someone was testing the card over and over?

^^^That's what a lot of them do. They spend small amts, to see if the it will work & the card is still active. You probably alerted the bank in time before they made a bigger purchase. You need to put an alert on your credit report. Filling out one form online will put a fraud alert at all 3 credit reporting agencies.

  • Thanks for spreading the word. I saw that earlier today. I check my bank statement almost daily since my husband's debit card was cloned a few months back. Even tho we got our money back, it was unnerving to me that someone violated our account & spent our hard-earned money. I hope they catch those responsible. I hate thieves!

  • Second largest breach in history. I didn't shop there so I'm relieved about that

  • Well this sucks, it isn't about the money, but called the bank and now our debit has to be re-issued, it will be 10 to 14 working days before we get new cards, pisses me off, because I have to go to Denver next week, guess I better get my Visa warmed up for the trip, LOL!
