  • Depends on for what purpose. I love cast iron for skillets and enamelware for oven one meals.

  • I do not like teflon BTW
It has probably improved but the black flecks in my food had me throwing out pans when I was younger.

  • Depends on what I am cooking. Because of health issues, I try to do low fat cooking, so I do use teflon so that I don't have to use butter or oil. My fry pans are teflon, but my soup pot is stainless. I have stainless and teflon sauce pans. And I have a cast iron skillet too.

  • Stainless steel, all the way. I hate Teflon. I have birds, and Teflon fumes will kill birds. They're not that great for humans, either. I knew someone who was put in the hospital for poisoning caused by prolonged exposure to Teflon from eating food cooked in pans with chipped Teflon coatings.

  • I prefer Stainless for most things but use a non-stick wok-like skillet for some stove top one pan meals
