How many times has your tree fallen down this year???

Lol. My Christmas tree has been knocked down twice this year. First time the kids were playing and threw the Elf on the Shelf at the tree. The cat jumped at the elf and got tangled in the lights and down it went. (Yes the kids got in trouble for throwing the elf). Second time was last night. DD9 fell asleep on a chair close to the tree. She stretched her legs out too far while sleeping and down it went again. This has never happened before. But twice in one year is just silly.

  • ours did not fall down
    but was leaning BADLY
and it would be straight then, looked again and leaning way over, screwed tighter, fine, then 20 minutes later leaning again
finally, had to take it out and re screw it (before i would allowed any ornaments on)

  • Now twice all the ornaments were scattered all over the floor. I'm not putting them back on this time.

  • Not at all.

Our tree last year is another story. Our cat was still young enough it looked like one big toy to her and she couldn't resist. It fell down at least 3 times because of her.

  • Our tree is sort wedged floor to ceiling. It's not ever going to wobble. It did leave a green streak on the ceiling when we wedged it in, lol! If it's not one thing, it's another.

  • Never. But I did freak out one year and dragged the tree out and tossed it out the front door lol

  • Ha ha... none this year!

  • None, thank goodness, although I've wondered if the Labrador's tail was going to knock the whole thing over a few times.

  • None. But it's fake and only 6.5 feet tall so not a big risk. Oh and we don't have any cats, that helps LOL.
