Facebook Question...

I've just started a business page on FB.

Can my business page "friend" someone? I sent a request, but it turned out that they friended my personal page instead, and this wasn't what I wanted... (Don't want to mix business with personal, so it's now kinda weird for me to have a business acquaintance have access to my personal page).

So, how do I friend someone from the business page but not my personal page?

  • You can't friend someone with a business page. They can "like" your business page and get your updates in their newsfeed.

  • Top right corner somewhere it will say "build your audience" or something like that. There you can import your email contacts.

  • Thanks.

This is what I was afraid of. Now I'm going to have to clean up my personal account--or unfriend that one person I mistakenly let into my life. Grrr... When worlds collide, it's not fun!

  • If you don't want to unfriend someone, mark them as an acquaintance and set your standard setting to "friends except acquaintances"
