Does anyone regret their kids' names?

My children are Jaecelinn Rae and Zachariah John. I love them but I have a friend who regrets naming their child after their father.

  • I don't regret it per-say but I named mine Keira and at the time no one had that name, but now we constantly meet kids younger than her with that it kinda sucks lol

  • No. I love my kids and since they ARE their names, I love their names, too. But sometimes I hear a really cool name and think I would have used that if I'd had more kids

  • Not now, about 3 months after my first son was born I started freaking out thinking I had made a mistake with his name, but it was only a month or so freak out. Absolutely no regret with son #2

  • Nope, not at all. My dad gives me crap about my daughter's name because he has to special order anything personalized. But *I* don't regret her name at all.

  • Not really. I did wish at one time that I had considered a different name (my paternal grandfather's first name) to use as a middle name for one of our twin boys. We settled on a middle name for him that was a name we both liked, and so I don't regret it, but somehow I never considered Edward as a middle name possibility (and I think we might have used it if I'd thought of it.) I also really like the nickname Ned & probably would have used it with him some if we'd given him Edward as a middle name. (And his first name begins with N.) But his middle name is Stephen and I definitely like the name, like it paired with his first name (very much like the sound of the names together), and like his initials. So no genuine regrets!
