8 1/2 month old with a fever

her temp was 101.8 she hasnt been able to keep anything done realy and pooping alot,i called the doc they said only bring em in IF they have a temp ovber 100 for 3 days.what can i do for her

  • What did they say about her not keeping anything down? Surely if you insist on seeing the doctor they can't turn you down. I personally would wait it out for 24 hours and ask to see the doc if nothing has changed. I would be more worried about her keeping food down than her temp. Try to give her plenty of fluids and don't give her tylenol or motrin unless she seems to really be uncomfortable. You want her fever to help fight whatever is wrong in her body. Keep an eye on the temp to make sure it doesn't get too high though.
