Yikes! What would you do?!

Baby is COVERED in spaghetti and sauce in her highchair.

She is now soundly asleep.

I am leaving her there for naptime. Her bedding just got washed and she is going to need a scrub down after this saucy noodle mess.

Would you move the baby??

(14 months)

  • First thing I'd have done? Snap a picture for bribery material later of course!!

  • Nope I would just be sure that there isn't anything to obstruct her breathing while she naps.

  • Wait, you're not leaving her in the high chair, are you? I hope not because that's not safe.
I'd take my child out, do a quick cleaning/wipe down with a wash cloth and then put them down for a nap.

  • I'd stay nearby (read a book or something near her) but leave her there. Don't wake a sleeping baby! :P

  • Yeah, my thought is towel on floor. You know how they crash on the floor if playing but sleepy? Basically like that. Shift her & get her settled. If she needs the nap she should transfer okay. If not, assume it wasn't meant to be & go forward!

That minimizes the damage & keeps cleanup easy.

  • I agree with AdensMama0308. Stay very close to the chair and let the baby sleep.

  • I lay a blanket out on the floor and lay her on it. If you wash it off she'll never go back down.

  • high chair + nap = no way

Answer by luvmygrandgirl at 4:53 PM on Feb. 5, 2014

  • If she is the kind of baby that would go back to sleep esily, I would clean her up, if not I would leave her there and keep a close eye.....
