Do you think there should be a time limit on how long a question is open?

I think once you post a question you should have a time limit to choose an answer and if you dont choose one then the question just closes automatically. I think it would cut down on all these thousands of open questions just hanging about. Do you think that is a good idea?

  • Sounds like a smart idea!
I think if a question doesn't get a response in one week then it should automatically be closed unless the person asking the question asks to keep it open one more week.

  • yes yahoo answers has a voting area where if you dont pick best answer to your question it gets voted by other members instead of you.

either way, i think that it'd be great to have something like that

  • Well, one thing I wish is that when someone answers a question that it comes back to the front of the questions instead of having to search for it in all the pages. Most other website/forums I go to are like that.

  • I've seen open question here from like June of last year or whatever. I think they should give you a week or two at the most to clear it up.
