  • It's probably a growth spurt. Feed her as much as she wants, you can't overfeed while breastfeeding. Babies normally go through a growth spurt around 6 weeks.

  • Bridget is right. And make sure you burp her after each breast. If its not a growth spurt it could be gas. But most likely she just wants those calories.

  • Just leavve baby on the first breast till she comes off on her own, burp, switch, repeat. Expect to be going a lot more than 20 minutes a side. **smile**

  • Let her eat as long as she wants, and if she empties one then switch her, you don't need to time her..

  • OMG She is not ready for tater or cereal. It sounds like a growth spurt OR possibly a 'stuck' burp. My kiddo gets these burps that are difficult to get out but once it's out it's like nothing ever happened! I'd go with a growth spurt though since it JUST started.

  • If she gets screaming, they all do that when infants. Take her for a ride in the car or turn on the vacuum. I remember how stressful that was. Just something they need to outgrow. Both my kids did that no matter what I did.
