Tums while pregnant?

Can I take Tums for my horrible heartburn? Some places I see that it is on the list of things I can take but, some lists it's not on there?

  • Yes you can. In fact it is recommended because of the calcium. Maalox worked better for me though. It worked more quickly and tasted better. Half of it doesn't end up stuck in your teeth instead of in your stomach like with tums either lol. Maalox and Mylanta are also OK during pregnancy.

  • be careful with the tums tho, it is safe but if you take too many your heartburn will comeback, its called rebound heartburn.

  • Tums work great on heartburn. If you get the smoothie ones, they are not so bad tasting. The extra calcium is a wonderful thing to have anyways.
