  • If you think she broke her wrist, take her to the ER! Then they can tell U from there. GL!

  • why freak out over a fever mom, take a deep breath, a low fever is ok, if you are worried about the wrist take her to the ER to make sure.... A low grade fever or a fever of around101-102 can be a sign of infection or cold bug her body is fighting off. get the wrist checked out and just keep an eye on her and make sure she drinks plenty of liguids..

  • I agree with the above answers or your child could be having their molars coming out.
Give some Ibuprofen or tylenol. Hope they feel better.

  • And put a cold rag over her little forehead and make her as comfortable as you can take her clothes off except her undies have her wear some shorts so she won't feel so warm or take her a quick bath to cool her off.

  • How recent was the wrist injury? I don't think it's related. If it's a low fever, don't worry, it's going to be fine. Can you give her Tylenol? Keep her warm but not hot, check her fever after the Tylenol in an hour to see if there is a change. Sometimes there isn't and the body is fighting a virus and it's perfectly normal. If it gets high, consult a doc but don't freak out. Just keep an eye on her and breathe!

  • the wrist thing happened on tues nite. she got it casted friday afternoon and the fever started then. just as we were walking into the doc to have it casted. i have been giving her motrin now since about 530 friday evening and it comes down to normal temp but as soon as the meds start to wear off it goes back up. i will say though it was 100.5 friday evening after i gave her the motrin and this morning before i gave her the motrin it was only 100.0. so thats a bit better but not enough you know. so now what?

  • My doctor told me NOT to medicate for a fever that is below 101. This is your child's natural response towards a possible infection. If you give her medicine to reduce the fever, you could suprese her body's natural defenses.

I would call the ER and ask the nurses just to be sure.
