What is the diffrence between 2T and 24 months clothes???

My aunt says they are the same size that there isn't a diffrence. I thought 24 months was a little diffrent than 2T. Well I do notice 24 months may have buttons between the legs while 2T doesn't. Is that the only diffrence or are 2T achually bigger than a 24 month

I didn't know what catagory to put this under lol

  • It is the cut that is different. 24M is made for the chubby baby type while 2T is made for the thinner toddler type. They're essentially the same length...24M is just cut wider.

  • My daughter's 24 month clothes are smaller than her 2T clothes. Since she's really skinny, I notice this is the waist especially.

  • Exactly right Angie409, 2T clothes are made for a thinner toddler and 24 months are made for a chubby baby who hasnt started to thin out yet. I did also notice like a post above said that the 24 month more often have the buttons on the bottoms of the jeans to make diaper changing easier.
