Just curious- How much is your morgage and what state do you live in?

I live in Illinois and my morgage is $1600.00 a month.

  • Oregon. With the flood insurance (we live on a river) it runs about 1,400 a month. We put 20% down on a $389,000 house and got 5 1/4% interest rate for 30 fixed mortgage.

  • Pennsylvania. My mortgage was around $1800/mo but we refinanced and now it's around $1500/mo.

    Just a FYI, these questions are always met with people heckling at each other "why have a house/mortgage that's so expensive?!" Some people need and can afford bigger houses and house payments. Some people live and work in areas where you can't get cheap housing. Not everyone in America is financed beyond their means and is paying thousands on a mortgage because they're irresponsible. Some people actually DO have responsible mortgages, can afford the homes they live in AND can afford the monthly payments. I encourage my fellow mommies on here to answer without heckling each other about who spends what when you don't even know the person :-)

  • $3600 in CA. And that's only for 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Ugh. This is why I'm in th process of looking to move elsewhere.

  • I'm in Ohio. We have a 4 BR, 2bath split. about 1800 sq ft. for $750.00.mo. (that includes taxes & insurance) We are so blessed!
