Potty trainig

My son turned two in December and I am wondering if I should start potty training ? My doctior says not to rush it but I know of kids that were potty trained before they turned two. What should I do ? And do you have any tips ? Thanks

  • Your dr is right...dont push or rush it.

Is he asking to go potty? Does he show any signs of readiness like waking up dry, telling you when he's going, etc??

If you push it then prepare for regression. Boys take longer than girls on average. My son didnt even want to try til he was 3.

  • 2 is really young for a boy. Wait until he shows signs. I would push if the child was late 3's or early 4's, but there is no reason at this age.
