I want a music player thingy...WTF is it called?

Ipod, MP3 player. What is the difference? What is cheapest? I just want music, no videos. I just want to jog with something lightweight that I can download songs on. What should I get?

  • iPod is a brand name ...correct? I just bought a regular mp3 player from FYE for $15. It holds 500 songs. I didn't want to spend a crap load of money on an iPod just for the name. They all work the same and if you are only using it for jogging can find something $20 or under.

  • Try walmart. They have them cheap. I had an MP3 player but it got stolen when they robbed my mother's house. But it is good.

  • I love my Ipod. The Ipod shuffles I think are like $50.

  • I saw some on eBay and didn't know how many GB held how many songs, and all that junk. I don't know what to look for!
