Country music fans only! Got a question!

Is "Fancy" by Reba McEntire about prostitution??? I used to sing it all the time as a kid and never knew what it was about... Now that I listen to the lyrics, I think its talking about her mom buying her that red dress to go out and prostitute to get out of the poor life. Is this the case?

  • It's prostitution. She got into prostitution, then met a great guy who gave her everything. She says people look down on her for what she did, but she did what she had to do. It's more a story of making a better life.
