Anyone Live(d) on Camp Pendleton?

We just found out we will be getting orders to go there soon. Im looking at the housing website to figure out which housing area I wanna request but there are soooo many! Can anyone tell me which ones are nice? My husband is an E5 and we have 2 kids and a dog so that will narrow it down a little. Thanks!

My dad was stationed there 3 times but we lived off base. We didnt like base housing which I am sure can be alot better now then when we were there. I think we lived maybe 10 minutes from base in a nice neighborhood. Its a nice area to live in.

My hubby is sitting out there right now in his big truck waiting to be unloaded in the morning, he has a big dozer on... He said its a huge base... Sorry I know that didn't help you.... GL

oceanside is the nicest if living off base other than that I cant really help sorry.
