Anyone know anything about stimulus checks?

When will these be going out and do we have to do anything additional to tax refunds?

  • No checks. You will get an additional 13 bucks a week if you have a job. Tax time next year it will be deducted from you return. If you are like me and usually owe you will just owe more. Yeah for change.

  • There will be no stimulus checks!! I did hear on the news today that beginning in April your paycheck will increase by around $65 dollars a month. I guess depending on your income.

  • What a raw deal.

  • It's hardly a raw deal. You're still getting about $400 more for the year back. It's just that it's not in a lump sum, not coming directly from the feds, and it's more money coming to you in your paycheck. The point is to get people to spend it, unlike the lump sum that people used to tank our economy further by saving, not spending...or paying down debt. So, for our economy as a whole, it should be a good thing if it gets people spending steadily.

The raw deal part comes when we have to pay back China for the reduced taxes that are being spent anyway on all the "stimulus projects".
