  • the same shots that they got at 2 months:
Pediarix ( a combination vaccine which contains DTaP, Polio, Hepatitis B)
    -HIB ( helps prevent meningitis)
-Prevnar ( helps prevent pneumococcol bacteria and helps with ear infections )
-Rotateq( a DRINKABLE vaccine which helps prevent Rotavirus, a gastrointestinal virus which ends up putting kids in the hospital for dehydration.

  • O, and if your wondering, at 6 months the baby recieves the same vaccines minus the HIB( baby is also eligible for flu vaccine at 6 mo).
At 9 months there are no vaccines given unless your baby is due for a flu vaccine.

  • In my opinion, too many. Anywhere from 3 to 5, depending where you are and who your pediatrician is. My children get no more than one shot at a time. That way, I reduce the risk from the vaccines, while still vaccinating my children. They're caught up by the time they start school.
