Is curdled spit up different from regular spit up?

The past couple days my baby has spit up that looks like cottage cheese? Is there a reason or does it just change like that?

  • The curdles mean that the acids in the baby's stomach have reacted with the milk. It is nothing to worry about.

  • Yep, totally normal. When my son spit up, we used to say he "cheesed". As in, "Hey honey, would you toss me that burp cloth? The baby just cheesed all over me."
