If your child broke another child's glasses would you pay for them?

This happened to my daughter's friend. Another girl slapped her in the face and her glasses fell off and broke. Since this was clearly not an accident I would hope that the girl's parents would pay for the glasses to get fixed. Would you willingly pay for the glasses if you were in that position?

  • Yes, the parents of the child who did the slapping should pay for them or at least offer. The parents of the child who was slapped may have insurance on the glasses with the optician, but the offer should at least be made.

  • Of course! If my child broke someone's property, I would pay to replace it or fix it. It's just the right thing to do.
