Why do people tell you one thing and say or do another?

And when they finally see you in person they're like I am sorry for not blah blah blah. I don't get it. I don't mind them saying the sorry part, but don't lie to me.

And then there are people that are so nice that don't even do this at all. Always on time on things and follow through on all things. That would be me :)

Which one is you?

  • The always on time one. My mother in law does what you describe constantly. I don't even tell the kids anymore if she calls and says she is going to pick them up and take them somewhere, because most of the time she doesn't follow through.
